HANNA
STEPHANIE
JUDGE
FOR
DEMOCRAT
Paid for by hanna for judge
here to get things done.
I am a democrat running for a seat on the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, General Division.
As a working mom of 2, step mom of 2, staff attorney to a judge, entrepreneur, and podcast host, I know how to get things done. I solve problems with a practical, common sense approach.
If we haven’t met yet, I’m Stephanie Hanna.
I’ve spent 15 years as an attorney in public service, most of that time in the courthouse, and I see firsthand everyday what we are doing well and what still needs to get done.
And when something needs to get done, who gets it handled? Who rallies the communities, organizes the volunteers, and gets things done?
women.
COmmitted to meeting people where they are
In addition to serving our community inside the courthouse, I’ve served on the boards of YWCA Columbus, Children’s Hunger Alliance, the Columbus Bar Association, and Mental Health America of Ohio. I know firsthand the impact affordable housing, mental health services, and food security has on our community.
Being a judge isn’t just about issuing sentences, it’s about meeting people where they are and providing the tools and support to help them improve their lives.
As a judge, I’ll make sure the courthouse is in the business of smart second chances.
When I’m elected, I plan to
CREATE A RE-ENTRY DOCKET TO HELP INDIVIDUALS SUCCESSFULLY TRANSITION FROM PRISON TO THE COMMUNITY.
Did you know that over 33% of people released from prison will reoffend within 3 years of their release?
Franklin County is the only large county in ohio without a re-entry docket.
re-entry dockets help indivuduals reintegrate into the community, reduce recidivism, and strenghten public safety.
IMPLEMENT CONSISTENT DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION TRAINING.
we all have implicit biases. we have to consistently work to uncover them so they do not impact our decision making.
this increases confidence in THE COURTS.
Public trust in the courts matters
